About BaseCamp

BaseCamp is an annual summit that serves administration, staff, and faculty practitioners holistically through reflective approaches to serving students and self-care; and to directly address oppressive systems of racism, colonialism, and punitive practices in higher education. 

We do this through community knowledge labs, horizontal learning, support of peers, and critical self-reflection to develop efficacious programs. Plus hammock naps and adventure hikes. 

BaseCamp is an inclusive environment developed to allow personal and professional growth at any level of experience.

We want you to attend and keep costs manageable. We dropped event registration by over $300 to be more equitable since the housing costs of hotel  has increased globally. If you'd rather not stay on-site in our shared cabins, hotel stays are a great option that also allows you to bring your teams!

Coalition Leadership Summit!

Day 3 begins to blend program leadership and Day 4 expands to coalition building and Coalition Leadership. Think of it as a half-day mini summit. We'll explore large scale impacts and how we can work collectively in the HEP field. Join state wide and national coalition movements for scaled impact!

  • All-inclusive with on-site alpine dorm housing 4 nights stay (Cabins capped at 70% capacity for comfort, separated by womens, mens, or gender non-specific cabin). 4 days of gourmet food, all sessions, retreat materials, and optional wellness activities. This is the premier experience of the event, living in community for the 4 days. Arrive one day early for a bonus night on 7/31.

  • This includes all event registration, food, wellness activities, etc. The only difference is YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR HOUSING, either a hotel or local stay. There are 5 hotels within approximately 10-15 minutes from the event site linked below.

  • Choose to come for just one day with food, event, activities, etc. Typically chosen for local folks, or those that can only make 1 day.

  • Only pick this if you can only attend the first two days. Days 1 and 2 (August 1-2) will cover trauma-informed care, wellness, individual support, professional development, etc.

  • Only pick this if you can only attend the last two days. Days 3 and 4 (August 3-4) will cover your program role, team based sessions, and lead in to coalition building.
